My #jekyll blog now has a working Mastodon share-button. It was really easy to implement. I basically just followed @Gargron's example.

@jag @Gargron Ugh. It might be some terrible bug I need to look into OR it's dependent on which browser you've registered as a handler for Mastodon links. Is it possible that it's the latter case?

@jonne @Gargron I tried out the share button. #Firefox doesn't seem to understand the web+mastodon:// protocol.

This is on Firefox 60

@njoseph @jonne When you login to Mastodon, after about 5 minutes the browser asks you "Allow Mastodon to register a protocol handler for web+mastodon links?" - that's what you need to allow for those links to work

@steko @Gargron @njoseph @jonne nope. I'm using Firefox Nightly v 62 and it pops up like this.. At the same time as the sharing window, which propogates once you remind it which account to use and/or login.
